Student Counsellor Headingley LS6 and online

I am a student Counsellor training in the person centred approach to counselling. I am currently in my second year of my qualification, and have worked with clients who face a range of difficulties such as:
Anxiety,
Addiction
Depression/ Low moods
Grief
Housing needs
Identity concerns
Relationship problems/breakdown
Suicide Ideation
Trauma/ PTSD
and many more issues.

Previous to being a trainee Counsellor I was a Teacher for 7 years, in secondary school and further education. Teaching helped me to quickly identify the joy I found in equipping others to help themselves. Throughout my role as a teacher I found myself being drawn to the students who had additional challenges in their lives. This eventually led to inspiring me to embark on my career as a Counsellor, as I found that listening and supporting others was where my passion was.

I really enjoy creating a safe space for my clients to be able to explore any issues or concerns they may have without any judgement.
