My name is Kim and my background is in social care and education using counselling skills as integral part of all my work, providing one to one support and groupwork to children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Since qualifying as a counselling practitioner, I have run my own practice. Working with private clients as well as working as an affiliate for other counselling organisations including Free Your Mind
I am a Person-centred practitioner which means I work with you and the issues that you present with in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space. Supporting you as you work through the issues and find positive resolutions.
I do use other counselling modalities where appropriate in recognition that everyone is different and has different needs.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their guidelines and their Code of Ethics. I am also DBS checked.
I have training in Trauma (Mindbody Breakthrough), Bereavement and Grief (Cruse), Anxiety and Depression and training and lived experience with ADHD . I have also undertaken Safeguarding training.
